the Dip Tip (week 9)

It is a fantastic tip for the classmates having fun together. that was a tuesday moring which we were quite worried about the wether. So many classmates with their unbrellaes were going to Cafe La Vinci, where is located in Titirangi Village up Titirangi Road. I planned to go fishing with Buchao, flint and orther classmates. that is why we were so concerned about the wether.

at 9:30 we arrived the Cafe. Jan has already been there. We started chatting and having coffee. Emma and i were both interested in decoration of houses. We shared our favour and different views of the house styles and colours. while Katie, who is form another class gave another special and creative idea of the layouts in a house with color matching. she prefers a simple and leisure way to design of her house.

About 10:30, we drove derectly to the small bridge and started fishing near Cornwallis Beach. Until Jan and other mates came over from the beach. Then we went to share lunch together. I was very appreciate Anita's food. She cooked a yummy spiced chicken in a simple way that i can try to do it at home. I love meat and vegtable. after having chicken, i take some salad, some chips and other food. i really enjoyed the lunch because we can had different tasts.

the rest time of the trip we spended on catching fish. An interesting thing is one guy who caught a Kura attached a rose-pink balloon on his big hook and hooked the Kura on its back.then he let the Kura go back to the sea being a bait to try to get another big fish. That is i never know before.

we all had a great trip, did we?

Book review – Brad Pitt

This book is about Brad Pitt-a supper movie star- and written by Nancy Taylor.
As the writer says, Brad Pitt is a charming person. Since he went to the University of Missouri in September,1982, he had showed an obvious interest of making fun. He did not finish his papers, but went to Hollywood to start his dream being an actor. Brad Pitt began his acting with very small roles, e.g., a role in which is said nothing, or said on word in the 1980’s, he got his first important role on one of the biggest TV programs—Dallas. After that, he had roles in many TV programs such as ‘Head of the Class’ (1988), ‘Thirsty Something’(1989) and ‘a Stoning in Fulham County’(1988),etc.
Brad Pitt became popular when he played in ‘Thelma and Louise’. He lighted up the movie. Although it was only a small role. Between 1993 and 1995, Brad Pitt participated in six movies in which were highly praised. This was the brilliant period in his career. He played different roles of different characters. Some were sad, some were crazy. His great experience pushed him onto the top level of ‘supper actor’. He acted in ‘Legends’ with Anthory Hophins, and worked with Tom Cruise and Antonio Banderas as well.
‘Brad Pitt’ is written in easy language. It has a chronological structure and clear theme to show the reader an attractive man’s whole life.
In this book, it says that Brad Pitt has been taught by parents to behave in a gentle, nice and friendly way. He is loved by his fans and his lovers. He is always pursued by the camera and media. He has been perfect in front of the audience. However, in the supper start’ real life, how does he perform himself? Does Brad Pitt follow the right way for himself? Does he still have his feet on the ground? The answer may be in the book..

A messy break

It was a headache break I never had. it just was a nightmare.

My friends went to China. She had two children who need to look after. I was the unlucky person she asked me to do her a favor to take care of them. First of all I did not consider it was a big deal. I certainly assured that was easy job to do. The following two weeks. I was buying with driving them to play badminton, go swimming, play golf and had extract lesson of maths. and science. Everyday I rushed to cook meal for those two lazy kids. More worse thing I found their dish washing machine has been broken. I was really headache to wash the plates from morning to evening. After I finished all the chores, I had already exhausted. I tried to do some homework and reading or watching TV, the results were that I fell into sleeping before planning. Those two little evils fought often and screamed annoyed me. What a hard time for me to be a “house-keep”--I always make joke to my friend when we met .

It is not easy being a parent to raise children by now I know.

Hello

Hi! I'm Helen. I'm studying English at Unitec. I am from Hainan China, and have been in NZ for three years. Although I have been struggling with my language barriers, I still believe that one day I can come over.

Last year I was studying at AUT introduction in Certificate to early childhood education. The first aim I choose this course was to improve my English and literary ability. I am not a social person that bothering me a lot. On the other hand, I strongly expect to have more friends. I think it is due to my limited literary ability. I am left-handed. It is said that the logical ability of left-handed person is much better than the literary one. despite of weighing which one is more important, I personally understand that I need to improve my language level, not matter English or Chinese. During the period at AUT, I learned that it is vital to teach a child appropriately. The developments of a child include physical development, intellectual development, social skills and literary development. at my practicum in a childcare center, I contributed an amazing puppy show to those lovely toddlers. I also never forgot a child’respondent to that I did not stay with him at bed time. It is just a little baby but it has thought. Then I learned to be patient when they were grumpy. It was happy hour only I did not like to change their nappies. So I may take a IELT test to match the language requirement and further my ECE education.

I really enjoy studying and my leisure life. In my free time I would like to invite friends to go fishing or play badminton. Something with joys should happen when you guys are studying at Unitec. Have you got any fun? Don't forget to make fun in your life.

Effects of Globalization

As so far as people realize, children’s education has been more and more concerned. Children sent to oversea school become very common,. While students now can be taught in high quality and with same methods in their own countries because oversea schools have set up their branch over there. Then these lead to culture exchanging among students. Sometime you may notice that someone was talking about what are happening when passing by. Possibly you suddenly realize that over another semi-sphere people have another interesting lives.
Another effect of Globalization is food. On the Auckland streets you may find a great deal of restaurants from different countries with attractive tastes. It also supplis thousands of export food in supermarkets which it is just like a dream during the past age.
However after counting so many good effects of Globalization, people can not forget that the competition between countries and countries has becoming fierce not only of market, such as share stock, products market but also of students’educating. Students are crammed to learn knowledge most from books in China. A number of exam are complained everyday therefore teacher are banned to give much homework and stress to students. Effects of Globalization have advantages and disadvantages it is vital to balance them based on your condition.
